ABOUT ME
The person
I’m Matthew. I work as a software engineer at State Farm. Outside of work, I ride bikes, run, and spend a lot of time on code and personal projects.

Nationals in Colorado
In 2025, I went to nationals in Colorado as president of the Jax State Cycling Club, supporting my teammate.
How Time2Bike started
A few weeks before Colorado, I was helping time dual slalom at Truett McConnell University. The process felt fragile. That’s where the idea started.
I became serious about Time2Bike during that trip to nationals; and promptly started development after returning home.
In 2026, TMU used the infrared timing system I built for Time2Bike at its dual slalom race. That’s me in this photo, running the system.

RDC and skydiving
In 2024, we were invited to the Roblox Developers Conference (RDC) for ReAdmin.
The year before, I went to RDC with Bloxlink and went skydiving on that trip.

Radio and Long Lines
This old AT&T Long Lines site got me interested in radio when I was very young.
I took this photo a few years ago. It’s been my phone background for a long time.
I’ve also spent time helping map these old sites and document their condition, contributing drone photos to long-lines.com.

I graduated from Jacksonville State University in May 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. I’m starting Georgia Tech’s online master’s in computer science in spring 2027.
I’m also into aviation, HAM radio, and weather. I also used to run a synchronized Christmas light display with 2,500+ individually controlled LEDs.
